Parky and Friends

5 November 2009, 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Venue:

Sir Michael Parkinson CBE was the NZ-UK Link Foundation’s Guest of Honour at a reception to be held at Premier House, Thorndon, courtesy of the Prime Minister.

Organised by  Friends of the NZ-UK Link, Sir Michael was in conversation with Ian Fraser. He will mixed and mingled with guests at this unique, intimate and special event. Guests had the opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Britain’s national treasures.

Sir Michael generously donated his time out of his early November Parky - The One Man Show tour of New Zealand, which saw him performing in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

All proceeds from this Friends event went to the NZ-UK Link Foundation's NZ Discretionary Awards helping young (and not so young) Kiwis to take up vocational, education and cultural opportunities in the UK.

Wines were donated by Hunter’s, Trinity Hill and Eurowine/Main Divide.   Canapés by Ruth Pretty Catering.

See a report of the event in Link 16.
