The NZ-UK Link Foundation's Visiting Professorship programme enables a high-calibre New Zealand professor to spend three months in the University of London's School of Advanced Study with access to extensive research facilities and the appropriate academic specialists as required.
High-calibre candidates are sought, whose research interests contribute to an understanding and appreciation of some important aspect of the contemporary relationship between New Zealand and the UK. Applicants should be senior academics, working at a Professorship level and with a valid passport.
While the Visiting Professorship might represent numerous academic disciplines - from history to environmental science, from economics to social policy, from political science to trade and so on - for this inaugural Fellowship in 2010, the Foundation is particularly interested in applicants whose areas of interest are in one of the following fields:
