Garden Party at Homewood

16 February 2008, 11:00am - 1:00pm

Venue: Homewood, Karori, Wellington
Dress: Smart Casual
Cost: $40 Friends, $50 Guests, $10 Children

The Band of the Royal Marines is coming to Wellington. Friends of the NZ-UK Link Foundation are organising a very special Garden Party. Come and enjoy afternoon tea and music at Homewood and help us celebrate 50 years of the house as the residence of the British High Commissioner.

We are delighted with support for the event from HSBC, Twinings Tea, Hunters Wines of Marlborough and Trinity Hill Wines.

You will also have the fantastic opportunity in the raffle to win two tickets to attend the opening night of the National Theatre of Scotland's Black Watch as guests of the British Council on 22nd February 2008, as part of the International Festival of the Arts (caution:  the show contains very strong language, loud explosions and strobe lighting). These have been kindly donated by the British Council, which is supporting the entire Blackwatch cast and crew's travel to Perth, Sydney and Wellington. Twinings Tea has an incredible hamper of goodies worth $150 to win and Adam Newell's Zibibbo Restaurant has also kindly offered dinner for two worth $120 for the raffle.

As a memento of the day - and in return for a donation of $10 per shot - Wellington photographer Colin MacDiarmid will be on hand to take photographs of you with a member of the Band of the Royal Marines.

Tickets are available before Monday 4th February from the New Zealand Executive Officer, Tony Fryer link-foundation@clear.net.nz, telephone 04-924 2800, fax 04-473 4982.  Download the flyer below for payment information (you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the pdf file).

Note that no public parking is available at the Homewood residence itself, but parking is possible on Homewood Avenue and other streets around the residence.
