Nine new Fellows have been selected in other Link awards. Another four new teachers have been selected to go to the UK in the Linking Minds scheme, Thomas Townsend is this year's NZ-UK Link Foundation Modern Cookery Apprentice of the Year who will be jetting off to the UK next year, fifth year medical student Akbar Ashrafy is the Worshipful Company of Barber Surgeons' 2008 Bursary winner and three more individuals have been given assistance in the NZ-UK Link Foundation Discretionary Fellowships.
