Charmian Keay is enjoying her experience with the Southbank Sinfonia immensely, she says.

19 July 2009

London has hit the right note for violinist Charmian Keay, the 2009 Elman Poole Music Scholar who is currently gaining valuable experience playing with the Southbank Sinfonia in London.  She is one of five individuals that have been assisted by the NZ-UK Link Foundation to fulfill their study aims. Economist Cath Sleeman is studying for an MPhil in Economics at Cambridge University, young Culinary Challenge chef Chris White has recently finished his 'busman's holiday' working at some of NZ's top restaurants, Scott Riddle is working towards his MBA at Cranfield University - one of the UK's top business schools, museum designer Josephine Hughes is looking forward to getting to grips with her 2009 Clark Collection/Creative NZ Scholarship.

Meanwhile, museum conservator Lynne Campbell has returned from the International Institute of Conservators' conference in London and three talented and personable members of the Choir of the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul performed at the NZ annual meeting in March.  Read more about their experiences in the latest edition of the newsletter.
