First Ever NZ Film Festival Held in UK

The first ever NZ film festival has been held at The Barbican in London, as part of the City of London Festival, and was supported by the NZ-UK Link Foundation as a major sponsor of the initiative. 

The Link (20) has a report of the opening night, which saw Academy Award-nominated director Taika Waititi fly in to open the Festival. You can also read about the Foundation's second Visiting Professor Jonathan Gardner's programme of lectures focusing on marine reserves; a tea party hosted by the Foundation to assist the efforts of a Katherine Mansfield researcher; a report from Diescretionary Award winner Lesley Shepherd and her experience at London's Globe Theatre as part of the Shakespeare Globe Centre NZ's  Teachers Go Global project; the latest winners of the Foundation's Modern Cookery Apprentice of the Year, Elliott Pinn and the $80,000 Cranfield NZ Alumni Scholarship, Vivan Ho.
